＜解説＞

男性5人のバンド、5:05のデビューアルバム「Stay Awake」（1994年）からのヒット作。バンド名は、ファイブ・オー・ファイブと読む。トロピカル・ビューティのメインヴォーカルはベン・ベガス。バンドのキーボードプレイヤーであり編曲・プロデュース・エンジニアを手がけたレスター・ガンタンによれば、5:05はTOTOのハワイ版を目指していたとのこと。実際、レスターが編曲する際に意識したのは、ポリス、TOTO、ジャーニーだったという。このアルバムからはもうひとつ「Pua Nani」が大ヒットした。
